Many have asked what happens with the Bealtaine Ashes that remain from the great May Fire ? “Wouldn’t it be lovely to have them incorporated into jewellery ?”. . . So with thinking caps on it was agreed; as The Arts and Irish Culture is so connected to the Hill of Uisneach from time immemorial, some art that will incorporate the essence of great gatherings would be commissioned. . .

Work began a few months ago with local artist Magdalena Webber living at the foot of Uisneach Hill, on a commission to create a design that embodies the Hill of Uisneach and our Bealtaine Celebrations. What a result; each piece is unique – a bespoke, hand-crafted wearable piece of art encapsulating both Bealtaine and Uisneach ! One of a kind. . .
